A garbage collector had the shock of his life after a severed human arm, from the hand to the shoulder, tumbled out from of a bin as he was loading waste into his truck at 6.30am.
According to China Press and NST, the gruesome discovery was made at a rubbish dump in Taman Indah Permai, Kota Kinabalu in Sabah today.
More body parts missing
Following the shocking discovery, workers dug into the bin further and found a human leg, from the foot to the thigh.
It is believed to belong to an unidentified woman, where her body was dismembered and placed in black garbage bags before being dumped at the scene.
Police widened their search to another nearby disposal area, while workers are re-checking waste already loaded into a garbage truck in order to locate remaining limbs, torso and head.
However, no new findings were made as of 11am.
Acting Kota Kinabalu district police chief Superintendent Syed Lot Syed Ab Rahman confirmed the incident and said the investigation is ongoing.
He added further updates will be provided as investigations continue.
