A disturbing case of animal cruelty has emerged at Pangsapuri Seri Nilam in Ampang, where several cats—both strays and domesticated—were found dead due to alleged poisoning.
Photos of the lifeless animals were shared online by residents, sparking calls for the authorities to take action before more harm is done.
Several cats killed by suspected poisoning
The incident was brought to light in an X post dated July 11, where it showed multiple dead cats being left all throughout the apartment’s premises.
While some believed the felines were thrown from the upper floors, others strongly suspect poisoning was a more likely cause behind the cats’ demise.

This comes after an individuals allegedly boasted about the killings and threatened further harm in a WhatsApp group chat for residents.
To irresponsible cat owners and cat lovers, you will suffer the consequences of causing trouble to your neighbors.
“From today onwards, I will place rat poison in front of the unit door on the third floor of the apartment, next to the lift door and in the stairwell. If you love your cat, keep them inside the house and don’t let them roam around,” the message read.

The message had since been screenshotted and reported to the police. However, no further updates were provided at the time of writing.

Animal lovers condemn incident
Many netizens were outraged by the alleged poisonings and called for stern action to be taken against those behind it.


On the other hand, others noted hygiene concerns posed by cats roaming freely at apartments, adding that owners needed to be more proactive in keeping an eye on their pets.
