CHERAS – A heated exchange between a restaurant worker and a senior citizen quickly turned into a near-death experience for the former after he was threatened with a knife.
Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Idzam Jaafar said the incident happened at about 7 am when the suspect met the victim at Jalan Kaskas 3, Taman Cheras on Friday (Dec 3). reported Sinar Harian,
As the victim rebuked the suspect for frequently dumping water and trash from the top of the restaurant, the suspect then yelled back and threatened to kill him.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect had rented a house above the restaurant and frequently flung water and garbage from his house,” he said in a statement released yesterday (Dec 4).
He added that authorities have identified the 60-year-old suspect believed to be involved in the incident.
The case is being probed under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
