We’ve all had those calls, the ones claiming you owe money, won some random prize, or need to “update your banking info.”
This one started the same way, but it didn’t end the way the scammer probably hoped.
The call that was supposed to be scary

The man on the line claimed to be from Aeon Credit. He said the family’s friend owed money for a motorcycle loan and demanded they help settle it to avoid “serious consequences.”
“I’ve already sent proof on WhatsApp,” he said.
If you don’t pay, I’ll make sure he ends up in lockup.”
He even asked for the friend’s number to “confirm the details.” For someone trying to sound official, that was a bit ironic.
The family was way too chill
Instead of panicking, the person who answered stayed calm and maybe even a little sarcastic.
“Yeah, we’ll pay, we’ll pay. Poor thing.”
Let him go to prison. He’s never experienced it before.”
The scammer, clearly getting frustrated, warned that he was recording everything.
The family? They just laughed and told him to go ahead, even suggesting he “make sure the friend actually goes to prison.”
Truecaller ends the drama

The family then checked Truecaller… and sure enough, the number was flagged as a scammer.
That was game over. The scammer hung up, probably realizsing the whole act had collapsed. The family? They just had a good laugh and carried on with their day.
