Recently, the Selangor government has announced a rental assistance scheme for households impacted by the devastating gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights.
The Selangor government will allocate RM2,000 in rental relief per month for six months to 613 households that were affected by the gas blast.

Reported by NST, this initiative is expected to cost the state government RM7.2 million.

It aims to provide much-needed support to those who have faced disruptions in their living situations due to the incident.
The fire, which occurred last Tuesday (Apr 1) at around 8.10am, involved a Petronas gas pipeline and resulted in flames reaching heights of over 30 metres.
A total of 195 homes in the Putra Heights residential area were affected by the incident
