Netizens dubbed the man “Abang Gerak Solo” based on the label on his T-shirt, a name that took on new meaning when he was knocked out with a single punch moments later.

We spoke with Tony

Speaking to WeirdKaya, Tony, the man who knocked out the security guard, shared his side of the story. Prior to the altercation, the security guard was involved in a fight with one of the residents at the condominium. Tony happened to witness the incident and was recording it at the time.

The video was later uploaded by someone else and went viral. However, the security guard wrongly assumed that Tony was the one who shared it online. Since then, the guard allegedly began provoking Tony, which eventually led to the confrontation seen in the viral clip.

Following the fight, both Tony and the security guard were taken to the police station, where they agreed to make peace and chose not to press charges. The security guard is no longer employed at the condominium where Tony lives.

It’s nothing about the race

In an interview with WeirdKaya, Tony clarified that the altercation had nothing to do with race, but was purely the result of a misunderstanding and ongoing provocation.

“It was just a misunderstanding. Please don’t turn this into a racial issue,” he said firmly.

He also urged the public not to jump to conclusions or spread unfounded rumours, emphasizing the importance of understanding the full context before making assumptions.
