The school’s headmaster clarified that the female student who sustained a head injury was injured in an accident while playing with friends at school — not due to bullying or a fight.
Police are investigating an incident where a female primary school student in Sipitang, Sabah sustained a head injury after she was allegedly assaulted by a male classmate today.
Sipitang district police chief Superintendent Awang Anak Suanda confirmed the case and said an investigation is currently underway, according to reports by Berita Harian.
Allegedly struck on the head with a belt
The incident reportedly took place around 11am at a primary school in Sipitang, where the girl was allegedly struck on the head with a belt.
Photos showing the student with bloodstains on her school uniform have since gone viral on social media, sparking public concern and calls for stricter supervision in schools.
Police have yet to confirm the motive or circumstances that led to the altercation. Further updates are expected once the investigation concludes.
