Russian Woman Allegedly Sells Her Soul For RM5.5K To Buy Labubu Dolls, Concert Ticket

A worthy bargain?
A 26-year-old Russian woman has caused a stir online after she agreed to “sell her soul” for money. But instead of using it for something grand, she spent it on toys and a concert.

Started out as a marketing joke

It all began when a man named Dimitri, who called himself a marketing expert, posted an offer as a joke on Telegram.

He offered to pay 100,000 rubles (around RM5,500) to anyone willing to sell their soul and sign a contract using their blood.

To his surprise, a woman named Karina responded and accepted the offer, where she promptly signed the contract and even stamped it with her own blood.

Karina later revealed on the same platform that she didn’t care what happened to her soul as she only wanted the money.

She then used the cash to buy a set of Labubu dolls and now plans to spend the rest on a concert ticket to see Russian folk singer Nadezhda Kadisheva.

Dimitri later posted a screenshot of the bank transfer and contract, where he jokingly wrote, “I just bought my first soul. I definitely feel like Davy Jones right now!”

Church slams ‘transaction’

While some online users laughed it off as a publicity stunt, not all were amused, such as Russia’s Orthodox Church.

In a strongly worded statement, they condemned the contract, saying it was no joke as Karina had committed a major sin and urged her to repent.

They also called the act a sign of spiritual decay, saying the incident reflected a growing trend of people treating serious matters as entertainment.
