Residents in Setia Alam were shocked after two decomposed bodies, believed to be a man and a woman in their 30s, were found inside a two-storey rental house in the U13 area yesterday (Feb 8).
According to RTM, Shah Alam District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol said the victims were discovered in a room on the ground floor of the house.
Initial investigations by police and the Selangor police forensics team found the house to be in an orderly condition, with no signs of forced entry or struggle as the front metal gate was found unlocked.
The woman’s body was found on a bed, while the man’s body was located on the floor.

Police found no visible injuries on either victim, and there were no immediate signs of foul play.
The case has been classified as sudden death (SDR), and both bodies were sent to Hospital Shah Alam for post-mortem examinations. Preliminary forensic assessments estimated that the victims had been dead for about a week.
Father tried contacting daughter for 2 weeks
According to the NST, the gruesome discovery was made by the woman’s father, who had been trying unsuccessfully to contact her for nearly two weeks.
Speaking to reporters at the scene, the father said he had called his daughter repeatedly and visited the house several times but received no response.

“Each visit was unsuccessful. I called out to her and her boyfriend, but there was no response,” he was quoted as saying, adding that the shoes outside the house appeared undisturbed.
He initially believed the couple may have left the house, as they had been renting the property for about three months.
His concerns escalated when the landlord contacted him after the couple failed to pay rent.
The father then returned to the house together with the landlord and a security guard, where he eventually came across the bodies.
