An armed robber got away with 70 iPhones after he attacked a guard with an axe, leaving him with injuries to the head.
FMT reported that the incident took place at a phone shop inside Kompleks Menara Condong Teluk Intan located next to the leaning tower of Teluk Intan, Perak.

Injured guard with axe and stole 70 iPhones
According to Hilir Perak district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Adnan Basri, he said the robbery occurred at 2am yesterday (Apr 3).
The robber, who had an axe with him, slashed the guard with it while he was taking a break at the toilet counter.
The robber had swung his axe at the victim, who managed to dodge it. In the ensuing struggle, the robber slashed the security guard in the head.

“The victim was then dragged to a toilet where he was bound and locked-up,” he said as quoted by NST.
He added that the robber then proceeded to break into a phone shop and stole 70 iPhones worth RM300,000 before fleeing the scene.
Police tracking down suspect
Ahmad said police and the forensics team were dispatched to the scene after receiving a public tip-off at 3.22am, where they managed to retrieve several items they believe may help to crack the case.

As for the guard, he was reported to be in a stable condition and received outpatient treatment at the Teluk Intan Hospital.
