A Malaysian driver has drawn widespread attention after sharing footage of a badly damaged road that appears barely usable, with many online claiming the situation has been left unresolved for up to three years.
The video, which has been circulating on TikTok, shows a vehicle crawling forward through a stretch of road riddled with deep cracks, potholes, and muddy patches, prompting comparisons to a war zone.
Video shows vehicles forced to inch through damaged road
The footage was uploaded by TikTok user @zainalaffandi92, showing a driver struggling to navigate the uneven surface.
Large fissures cut across the road, while multiple potholes appear filled with mud, making it difficult for vehicles to pass through safely.

At several points, the driver is seen steering directly into muddy sections and cracked areas, seemingly with no clear alternative route available.
According to the video caption, the driver said he had no choice but to use the road due to work commitments.

While the exact location was not specified, commenters familiar with the area said the road is near Jalan Aring in the Gua Musang area.
Netizens question lack of repairs & temporary alternatives
The video quickly sparked discussion online, with many questioning why the road had allegedly been left in such a condition for years.
Some commenters asked why temporary alternative routes had not been constructed, noting that the road appears to be used regularly by locals.
Others pointed out that if relevant authorities were monitoring the road, updates or public statements on its condition should already have been made.
Several commenters also expressed disbelief that a road in such condition could remain in use, with one remarking that even after three years, there appeared to be no visible improvement.
Among the responses, multiple users claimed the road’s condition has remained largely unchanged for around three years, describing the situation as frustrating and difficult to accept.
