Over 7,000 Users In Kelantan Have Failed To Pay Water Bills Amounting To RM4.6mil

Woah.
Whenever we use utilities such as water or electricity, we’re expected to pay the bill on time to avoid having the service being cut off.

Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB) is calling upon thousands of users within the state to pay their water bills totalling millions of Ringgit or risk facing legal action if they choose to ignore the warning.

7,000 users urged to pay water bills worth RM4.6mil

In a Facebook post shared by the state’s water utility company, it revealed that more than 7,000 users in Kelantan have yet to settle their outstanding water bills.

According to the breakdown, 3,316 water accounts accumulated an outstanding debt of RM2.379 million in 2022, while 3,954 accounts have yet to pay up a total outstanding debt of RM2.196 million in 2023.

These users, particularly those who have their water supply cut off, have until Oct 15 to settle their outstanding payments.

However, if they still fail to pay, their names and accounts will be handed over to AKSB’s legal team for further action.

In order to expedite the collection of these outstanding debts, AKSB has engaged the services of four licensed debt collection agents who will act on their behalf.

It also urged users to keep abreast of the latest developments through their official website www.airkelantan.com.my, the MyAKSB application, and Facebook.

If you happen to be one of them, please pay your water bill ASAP to avoid being dragged to court!
