RM10,000 Aid To Be Given To Putra Heights Fire Victims Whose Homes Were Completely Burnt Down

This amount consists of RM2,500 from Petronas and RM2,500 from the federal government.
Recently, a gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights left several homes in ruins, prompting swift action from both state and federal authorities to assist those affected.

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari announced that homeowners whose properties were entirely destroyed in the incident will receive RM10,000 in financial aid.

This assistance will be split equally—RM5,000 from Petronas and RM5,000 from the federal government,” he said during a press statement.

According to NST, for properties that were damaged but not completely destroyed—including rented homes—residents will be given a total of RM5,000 in support.

Authorities have not disclosed the total number of homes affected, but the financial support aims to ease the burden faced by victims as they begin rebuilding their lives

The fire, which occurred last Tuesday (Apr 1) at around 8.10am, involved a Petronas gas pipeline and resulted in flames reaching heights of over 30 metres.

A total of 195 homes in the Putra Heights residential area were affected by the incident
