A local influencer has sent tongues wagging after he posted a video of him making and selling plain doughnuts with sliced cheese for a whopping RM10.
Many criticised him for overcharging customers for something that was sold for less than half the price elsewhere.
‘RM10 for this?!’
The controversy first began when the influencer posted a video of him placing a slice of cheese on top of the doughnut before putting it into the microwave to melt the cheese.

After taking the doughnut out from the microwave, the influencer then puts caramel drizzle on top of the cheese before selling it to customers.
In the caption, he wrote that each doughnut costs RM10 and that those who bought a doughnut would receive a coupon that gives them a chance to win RM5,000 in a lucky draw.

The clip soon found its way to Threads, where netizens bashed the influencer for charging customers an unreasonable price.
‘Please, everyone — don’t become enablers. You can get that from different franchise with a price tag lower than RM10.’

‘The doughnut looks so dry. RM10 is too much.’

Some also slammed the influencer over the lucky draw statement, with one accusing him of promoting gambling during Ramadan.
