Grilling fish is usually a straightforward affair, but one TikTok user has taken it to another level – and the internet can’t stop watching.
A viral video shared by TikTok user @imchuoi99 has racked up over 64 million views, all thanks to a wildly creative method of grilling fish.
In the short clip, a fish is skewered on a stick – with one end secured to a wooden stool and the other attached to the centre of a fan with its front cover removed.

Once the fan is switched on, the stick starts spinning rapidly, causing the fish to rotate at high speed over an open flame placed underneath.
The whole thing resembles a homemade rotisserie, but powered entirely by air.
Netizens can’t get enough
Naturally, Malaysians found the whole thing hilarious, with many tickled by the unconventional grilling technique.
“How will you cook the fish? Heat energy ❌ Kinetic energy ✅”

“The fish is obviously airfrying.”

Someone even called it the ultimate shortcut for dinner, saying, “Telling my kids this is fast food.”

While some were genuinely impressed by the ingenuity, others questioned how evenly the fish could actually be cooked with such high-speed spinning.
Either way, the clip left many in stitches – and reminded us that the internet never fails to serve creativity (and comedy) on a plate.
