In a classic case of “rules don’t apply to me,” a Proton X70 driver decided the emergency lane was their personal fast track, but a motorcyclist wasn’t having any of it.
Caught on dashcam and now making the rounds on X, the video shows the driver comfortably cruising down the emergency lane as if it were rush hour VIP access.
Proton X70 driver caught using emergency lane
But before the driver could get too cozy, a motorcyclist pulled up and gave them a reality check.
After all, the emergency lane is for, well, emergencies—not for drivers too impatient to stick to their lane. Apparently, the Proton X70 didn’t get the memo.

In true “I’m done with your nonsense” fashion, the motorcyclist approached the vehicle, prompting the driver to (finally) merge back into the proper lane.

The incident reportedly happened around 4:20 p.m. on September 16, though the location remains a mystery.
As the video continues to make rounds, it’s clear that if you’re going to take the emergency lane, you better have a good reason—or face the wrath of fellow road users looking to keep things “lane and simple.”
