The principal broke down in tears as she apologised to parents after a 16-year-old student was fatally stabbed by her 14-year-old schoolmate in a shocking incident that shook the nation.
The emotional moment was captured in a viral TikTok video showing a meeting between parents, school staff, and police officers.
Visibly shaken, the principal told parents that the school will take full responsibility for what happened.
On behalf of the school, I sincerely apologise for what happened. None of us wanted this to happen, but it did,” she said tearfully.
We will take full responsibility. If any parents have reasonable suggestions or feedback, we will do our best to consider and act on them.”
According to Harian Metro, she added that managing a school with over 1,197 students was not easy, but the staff have always done their best to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every student.
We are deeply affected too. Please understand that we are doing our best. Thank you to all the parents who have stood by us during this difficult time,” she said.

The tragedy happened on Tuesday (Oct 14) morning at a secondary school in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.
A 16-year-old girl was attacked by a 14-year-old male schoolmate who allegedly followed her into the toilet and stabbed her multiple times.
