KUALA LUMPUR: A man was found hanging the Taman Impian Ehsan bridge, near Amerin Mall, at Balakong this morning, shocking onlookers who stopped to gape at the corpse.
Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan said the Kajang District Police Headquarters (IPD) District Control Center received a call from the public at 7.47 am informing them that a body was suspending from the bridge.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was suspected to be infected with COVID-19 and he was unable to withstand the physical torment as he had a cough, fever and shortness of breath, according to one of his family members.
“The body was brought down with the help of firefighters and sent to the Kajang Hospital’s Forensic Department for an autopsy,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Norazam Khamis said an officer and nine firefighters from the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were deployed to the scene.
“We have also handed the case over to the police for further action,” he said.
