Gerakan president and Perikatan Nasional (PN) leader Dominic Lau has spoken about the struggles he’s facing while campaigning in Sabah, saying he’s willing to push through delays and exhaustion to bring change to the state and Malaysia.
Early mornings and meeting the public
Lau said his campaign days start very early, where he visits markets and public spaces to meet Sabahans face-to-face.

Despite the physical toll, he believes meeting people directly is an important part of his work.
For the future of Sabah, for the sake of saving our country, all the hard work is worthwhile,” he wrote.
Travel delays add to fatigue
He also shared that flight delays are common during his campaign trail.
Sometimes, he’s stuck at the airport for up to five hours, leaving him tired and sore.
Still, he said he won’t give up.
Campaigning for Sabah’s future
Lau is currently preparing for the upcoming Sabah state election, widely expected to be called soon amid ongoing political changes.
He said the goal of his campaign is not just about politics, but about improving the future of Sabah and Malaysia as a whole.
He added that messages of support from the public, like seeing hopeful eyes and hearing words of encouragement, help him stay motivated.
He said everything he’s doing is for the next generation and that he will continue to fight, no matter how tired he feels.
