One private-hire driver in Singapore has had enough of certain passenger antics—and he’s not shy about it.
According to Mothership, someone shared a post in a private-hired driver group, revealing a laminated note he posted in his car, laying down the law in a hilariously blunt way.
“Won’t put my life at stake for you.”
For starters, the driver doesn’t want to hear about passengers running late. “There are thousands of selfish riders who only think about himself/herself. “
“You are not worthy for me to put my life [at] stake,” he bluntly writes.
His message? He’s not speeding because someone else hit snooze too many times. To all the latecomers out there, he suggests they plan their trips better—or just wake up earlier.
No backseat driver
Another peeve? Passengers who want to play navigator. He explains that PHV drivers, who “spend more time than you on the road,” know the fastest route and that fares are fixed anyway.
“No need to teach your grandfather how to drink coffee.” He wrote.
Finally, he’s got a no-food-or-drink policy, warning passengers that if they want to snack, they’ll be the ones “catching cockroaches” later.
This unapologetic note has gotten quite the reaction online, with fellow drivers cheering him on while passengers can’t help but laugh at his honest approach.
