Police have confirmed that the suspect who was shot dead during an attempted goldsmith robbery in Petaling Jaya acted alone and had no prior criminal record.
Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat told China Press that the investigations found no evidence suggesting the suspect had any accomplices.

No signs of accomplices
According to police, the suspect is believed to have carried out the robbery on his own, with no intelligence or findings linking him to any group.

Authorities also confirmed that a post-mortem was conducted at 10.00 am today as part of the investigation.
Injured guard discharged
Shamsuluddin said the security guard who was injured during the incident has since received treatment and was discharged from hospital last night.
The guard was reportedly injured during a struggle with the suspect, who was armed with a sharp weapon.

The incident took place at around 10.00 am yesterday at a goldsmith shop in Section 14, Petaling Jaya.
The suspect, described as a lone attacker, attempted to rob the shop but was confronted by two armed security guards.
During the struggle, one guard was injured before the second guard fired two shots, fatally wounding the suspect.
