A popular nasi kandar stall in Penang has touched the hearts of netizens by showing kindness to an old man who didn’t have enough cash for a meal.
The stall, Nasi Kandar Sulaiman, has long made a name for itself by posting heartwarming stories about its customers on its Facebook page.
‘He stood there and looked at the dishes’
In a Facebook post, the stall wrote that the old man, who using a walking stick, came by and stood at the counter while looking at the dishes on display.
Filled with pity for the old man after seeing his facial expression, the stall owner asked him whether he wanted to eat and the latter said he was very hungry.

“My staff then helped him to take a seat and asked what dishes he wanted. The uncle only asked for rice and fish, but I gave him rice with fish, egg, and okra.
“Thanks to the contributions from donors, the uncle was able to eat his fill and he was very happy,” the stall owner wrote.
The owner also noted that the man was extremely old and had difficulty walking.
“When we see people like this uncle, we should always be grateful for being able to eat, to walk, and to drive a vehicle.”
Praise from netizens
Netizens were full of praise for the stall owner and commended him for showing compassion to the old man.
‘God bless. What goes around comes around.’

‘Thanks, bro. Regardless of race, we should help others. If I see a senior citizen while having a meal, I’ll treat him to free food.’
