According to a now-viral Facebook post penned by Goh’s cousin, she wrote that prior to his disappearance, Goh told his mother that he was hired to be a driver in the UK.

He also told her that he would be boarding a flight to the UK on Sept 4, where he would have a layover at Bangkok.

Up until Sept 8, Goh remained in contact with his mother, where he replied to his mother’s text concerning packing thick clothing to the UK.

His cousin also remarked in the post that Goh rarely shared details about his life and would bristle whenever someone tried to pry further. This included him not informing his mother about Yumi being his girlfriend.

As for Yumi, Sin Chew Daily reported that she never told her mother about going to the UK and like Goh, boarded a plane to Bangkok on Sept 4 and has not been heard from since.

In an unexpected twist, Yumi allegedly contacted a close friend via WeChat on Sept 7 and told the latter that both hers and Goh’s luggage and documents had gone missing in Spain, which would mean them being stranded there for one to two months.

Several videos showing Yumi and Goh enjoying dinner together and talking a walk at the airport in Bangkok were also shared with the close friend.

Following Yumi’s disappearance, her mother has been in a state of constant worry and pleaded for her daughter to let her know that she was safe.

Police reports have since been lodged over Goh and Yumi’s disappearance but there have been no new updates so far.

Those with leads on the couple’s whereabouts are urged to call Goh’s brother (017-4368411), his mother (016-456621), or Yumi’s mother (017-3129926).

We hope the couple will be found safe and sound soon!
