A long-distance bus ride took an unpleasant turn when a foul odor suddenly filled the air, revealing that a passenger had suffered an unexpected bout of diarrhea onboard.
The incident, which caused a one-hour delay, was captured in a video uploaded by a Xiaohongshu user “TK很OK!“.
Unpleasant smell hit suddenly
In the video, the passenger explains that he and his friend were traveling on the bus when they suddenly noticed a strong, unpleasant smell.
After five minutes, the odor persisted, leading them to conclude that it wasn’t just someone passing gas—it was something much worse.
“Today’s crazy incident: we suddenly smelled feces on the bus…” the passenger recounted in the video.
“I was worried that the person might have had an accident and was too embarrassed to ask the driver to stop, so I asked my friend to inform the driver.”
The video shows all the passengers on the bus covering their noses, with looks of discomfort clearly visible on their faces.
Trip delayed by an hour
The passenger reported that the bus driver eventually pulled over and asked everyone to temporarily disembark while the staff cleaned the bus.
“We solved the mystery—someone really did have an accident, though I don’t know who it was. The staff came to clean it up, but our trip was delayed by an hour.”
Despite the inconvenience, the passenger expressed understanding, noting that emergencies can happen to anyone.
He emphasized that his intention was not to mock the person involved but to suggest that if similar situations arise in the future, passengers should notify the driver as soon as possible to avoid further delays for others.
On the way back to KL
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the video owner shared that they travelling from tioman all the way back to KL
He shared that it was a very rural area and not much R&R along the way, and that might be the reason behind the accident.
He also shared that the think all the passenger is very nice and polite, although the smell is really bad, even after the bus stopped, no onetried to find out and shame the one that did.
“They just cover up their nose and wait patiently for the bus to stop, and never tried to find out who caused that.” He said.
