A PAS Member of Parliament has urged the Malaysian government to take legal action against former United States President Donald Trump over the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
The proposal was raised in the Dewan Rakyat on March 2 by PAS Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.

PAS MP calls for Malaysia to sue trump
Shahidan said he received a phone call from a Malaysian currently in an Arab country.
According to him, the caller claimed that negotiations by the United States and Israel were not meant to achieve peace, but were part of a strategy while waiting for military assets to arrive before launching attacks.

Based on the claim, Shahidan urged the Malaysian government to refer Donald Trump to the International Criminal Court.
He also mentioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, questioning why leaders involved in military decisions were not brought before the court.
Raises concern over Saudi Arabia’s response
Shahidan said Saudi Arabia had reportedly stated that it would defend itself and launch a counterattack if attacked.
He asked whether Malaysia could send a minister to the Gulf region, not by sea due to the war situation, to clarify that certain strikes were not directed at Gulf countries as a whole but at specific bases.
He said if Saudi Arabia retaliates, it could lead to different interpretations and affect Malaysia’s stance.
PM tables emergency motion condemning military action
During the same sitting, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tabled an emergency motion.
Anwar strongly condemned the military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran, saying they violated the principles of the United Nations Charter.
Malaysia’s Parliament is among the earliest to openly criticise the escalation of the conflict.
