The deputy speaker also reminded MPs to follow Rule 41 of the Standing Orders.
Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim was called out in the Dewan Rakyat after being spotted taking selfies during a parliamentary debate.

The incident took place while Bukit Gantang MP Datuk Syed Abu Hussin was speaking on the 13th Malaysia Plan. Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Mohd Nor abruptly paused the debate to address Shahidan’s actions.

If you want to take selfies, please do it outside,ā€ Ramli said, adding that such behaviour was inappropriate inside Dewan Rakyat.
