A man and a woman who were previously arrested after a viral video showed them allegedly engaging in an indecent act at a Chinese cemetery in Penang will be charged in court tomorrow.
According to Harian Metro, Northeast district police chief ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad said both suspects will be charged at the George Town Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
They will be prosecuted under Section 377D of the Penal Code for committing indecency.
Previously remanded for three days
Prior to this, the pair had been remanded for three days to assist with investigations.

Earlier reports stated that both suspects admitted their involvement in the case after being detained by police.
Arrested hours apart
The suspects were arrested on Monday (Mar 23), with police first detaining the woman at around 8.35pm at a flat.
Later that same night at about 11.10pm, the man was arrested near a building along Jalan Paya Terubong.
Preliminary investigations found that the incident took place on on Sunday (Mar 22) at the Batu Gantung Chinese cemetery in Air Itam.
Viral clip sparks outrage
In the clip, the man was seen fully nude with his back facing the camera, while the woman appeared partially undressed and seated on a tomb structure.
A woman recording the video could be heard confronting them, accusing the pair of engaging in such behaviour at the cemetery before.
The man later apologised in the video, but the witness filming refused to accept it and said she would report the matter to the police.
