Recently, an Oyen cat was spotted jumping over a tall wall into the neighbor’s yard, frightened of its owner and refusing to come back despite being lured with treats and its favourite rope.
Another day, another Oyen antic
Shared by TikTok user @mentegasunbear, a video capturing the antics of an Oyen cat has gone viral.
In that 36 seconds, the clip showcases a teenage boy climbing a wall to peek over to the other side, while another man attempts to lure the cat using a blue rope through a hole in the wall.
The video shows the man’s persistence paying off as he finally catches Oyen’s paw and gently pulls the cat through the hole in the wall.
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the OP revealed that the cat, named ‘Mateen,’ had initially been perched atop the wall.
As they tried to retrieve Mateen, the clever feline escaped by jumping into the neighbor’s yard. Attempts to entice the cat back with food proved useless, as Mateen remained unimpressed.
“We even brought out a rope she always plays with,” the OP explained.
