No introduction is needed for Oyen, the most popular breed of cat in Malaysia known for its striking orange or ginger colour. Despite being famously mischievous, Oyen continues to charm everyone with its adorable antics.
Oyen casually rests at Cheras PPR

Recently, a delightful incident involving Oyen went viral on TikTok, shared by the user @kittybubu_2022.
The video showcased Oyen lounging on the floor of a residential block in Cheras, perfectly encapsulating the laid-back charm that any cats are known for.
In the video, the person who uploaded it jokingly said, “It’s so high. Already dead,” while pointing to the sky around the tall building, as if Oyen, in their relaxed state, had met a funny end.
‘Oh, still alive’

Approaching Oyen with ‘chh-chh-chh’ sounds , the poster further added to the whimsy of the scene. Oyen, in response, shifted their body in confusion, gazing curiously at their human companion.
The poster then added, “Oh, still alive. Thought it was dead.”
‘He is the guardian’

Speaking to WeirdKaya, the uploader, identified as Yoe, revealed that this endearing interaction unfolded at PPR Perkasa Cheras.
When asked about Oyen’s ownership, Yoe explained that Oyen serves as the unofficial guardian of Block B, where residents often provide food and care for the charming cat.
“He is the guardian of block B; many people always feed him.”
When questioned about Oyen’s friendliness, Yoe joked, “When there’s wet food, he will be friendly.”
‘I almost shed a tear’
The comment section of the video was filled with panic and concern from viewers, believing that Oyen had fallen from the block.

One commenter wrote, “Cat: What lies is he telling?”

Another added, “You got me in suspense. I almost shed a tear. Once I saw it get up, I didn’t.”

Another chimed in, “Don’t do this. As a cat lover, I was just about to cry.”
