A cashier in Perak found herself at the receiving end of unexpected aggression when a customer suddenly threw an item at her during a checkout.
The incident, which was caught on camera, has since gone viral and sparked public outrage.
Normal transaction takes a shocking turn
The video, believed to have been recorded at a convenience store in Selama, Perak, shows a female staff member attending to a male customer at the counter.Â
Everything seemed routine at first, with the employee calmly handling the payment process.
But in a split second, the mood shifted. Once the transaction was completed, the man abruptly grabbed a packaged item from the counter and hurled it at the cashier’s head.
Shocked and angered, the cashier retaliated by pointing her finger at the customer and slamming the counter as their exchange grew heated.
Staff rush in to calm the situation
The tension continued to escalate until another staff member quickly stepped in to defuse the situation.
A colleague then took over the cashier’s task of packing the order, while the man stood at the corner of the counter, seemingly unfazed by what had just unfolded before him.
Although the exact cause remains unclear, the timestamp on the footage shows that the incident took place on 21 October 2025 at approximately 10.39am. The video has since spread across multiple social media platforms, drawing even more attention.
As the clip continued to circulate, many netizens voiced anger and disappointment over the customer’s behaviour.
Some urged the store management to file a police report, while others questioned what might have triggered the confrontation.
Authorities yet to issue a statement
