The government has assured Malaysians that the RM1.99 price for RON95 petrol under the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) programme will remain in place for now.
According to Buletin TV3 and Harian Metro, Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said the price may not stay forever as it depends on market conditions.
I can’t guarantee the RM1.99 price will stay for life. It all depends on the situation.
“But for now, the government won’t be reviewing it anytime soon as this was a promise we made to the people,” he said during a BUDI95 media briefing.
