A foreign tourist was left amazed after seeing how Malaysians enjoy their weekend nights so differently compared to the UK.
In a viral Instagram post by @the_boomeranggg_, he shared a short video showing locals spending time with their families at a public square late at night.
This is what a weekend in Malaysia looks like at midnight.
No alcohol, no clubbing. Just a chill vibe with family and loved ones,” he wrote.
The clip, which has already racked up over 1 million views in just 24 hours, shows kids cycling around while adults ride e-bikes or have a picnic on the grass.
The tourist also noted that if the same scene happened in the UK, “it would probably turn chaotic very quickly.”
Malaysian netizens couldn’t agree more. Many commented that you don’t need alcohol, drugs, or getting drunk to have fun.
Some even suggested more spots for him to check out and see how Malaysians love wholesome activities during weekends.
