With Christmas just two days away, malls and airports across Malaysia are putting up decorations to usher in the festive cheer and spirit.
Unfortunately, there are some questionable decorations that have left many flabbergasted, just like this one that was reportedly set up at the Langkawi International Airport.
Christmas tree or turd pile?
In a photo shared to the Facebook group Malaysia Education Info (And Homeschooling too), it featured a brown-coloured structure decorated with seashells, starfishes, and a Christmas star sitting at its tip.
While it was meant to be a Christmas tree, it sent the opposite message and the OP couldn’t help but to throw some shade at it.
“I am sorry to say that my first impression isn’t one of a Christmas tree but of a turd. I ask for forgiveness that or whoever designed this thought it was a good idea may want to reevaluate their design sense.
“And to think I just had shellfish for dinner when this came to mind,” he remarked.
Ridicule
Many also shared the same sentiments as the OP and mocked the Christmas tree’s design in the comments.
‘Two words: Holy s***’.

‘Dried s*** and decorated with some seashells. Come on, if you do not respect the festive (occasion), please don’t put up one.’

However, some defended the decoration, saying that the intention and spirit behind it was more important than its appearance.
