A foul stench led to a shocking discovery after it was found that the smell came from the body of a woman that was ditched at a secluded area located 900 metres from the Serdang KTM Station.
Harian Metro reported that the corpse was discovered by a member of the public at around 3pm yesterday (Oct 29) within some bushes near an electrical substation and lodged a report at 3.45pm.
Identity of woman yet to be determined
Following the discovery, a forensic team and K9 unit were dispatched to the scene to carry out investigations.
Police later confirmed the incident, saying the body of a naked woman with both her hands tied was found near the Blue Water Estate roundabout in Seri Kembangan.
Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad described the woman was 144cm tall, had long blonde hair reaching past her shoulders, long fingernails, silver earrings on both ears, green and red cloth bracelets, and a tattoo on her right hand.
Police are also working to determine her identity.
Investigations are now underway under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
