Aptly named as the ‘King of Malaysian Roads’, there seems to be nothing that the Myvi can’t do, including getting itself in awkward and sticky situations.
This time around, a Myvi found itself stuck in the motorcycle lane at the parking entrance of a shopping mall, leaving both the driver and onlookers at a loss over what to do.
Myvi gets stuck in motorcycle lane at KL mall’s parking entrance
In the 15-second clip shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by a user named @AsalGombak, it showed a white Myvi struggling to get out from the motorcycle lane at a shopping mall’s parking entrance.
As the driver tries to reverse the car out from the narrow lane, several onlookers watch on, with one of them trying to guide the driver out.
From the clip, it can be seen that the mall’s parking entrance for both motorcycles and cars were built side by side, which may have caused the Myvi driver to become confused.
While the location isn’t known, it’s believed to have taken place at a shopping mall at Gombak, Selangor.
In the caption, the OP couldn’t help but to express amusement over the incident, writing, “Aduh, King (referring to the Myvi), I know you are small, but that is a motorcycle lane. Were you expecting a designated parking lane for Myvi provided by the mall?”
Netizens scratch their heads over clip
Like the onlookers, netizens were equally as puzzled and amused over how the Myvi managed to drive into the motorcycle lane and put itself in an awkward position.
‘He forgot that he was driving a car that day.’
‘Maybe the driver thought ‘cashless parking’ meant free parking.’
A netizen joked that since the Myvi was king of Malaysian cars, he had the right to decide what it wanted to do.
