A simple act of kindness at Suria KLCC during Ramadan has touched many online.
In a Facebook post, a Muslim woman shared how she and her friend struggled to find a place to break their fast after a meeting that ran late.
By the time they started looking for food just before Maghrib, nearly all restaurants with JAKIM halal certification in the mall were already full.
Manager offers solution
As they were searching for seats, a manager from a non-halal restaurant noticed their situation.
He approached them and told them to buy takeaway food from a halal restaurant before sitting at the waiting area outside his restaurant to break fast.
To make things easier, he even brought out a trolley shelf and turned it into a makeshift table for them.
The two women eventually had their iftar along the walkway in the mall.
Quiet gesture that left a big impact
According to the post, the manager continued to check on them from a distance throughout their meal to make sure everything was okay.
Though it was a small gesture, the woman said it meant a lot to them.
The story has since gained attention online, with many praising the manager’s thoughtfulness.
Some described the act as heartwarming and said it reflected the spirit of mutual respect in a multicultural society.
Others simply called it a reminder that kindness can come from anyone, regardless of background.
