When the coach is this good-looking, swimming lessons suddenly become a whole lot more appealing.

Since early July, a swimming coach from Zhejiang has taken Chinese social media by storm, but it’s not his swimming skills that have people talking.

According to MSN, the viral videos shared online show the coach’s chiseled physique and handsome features, with many mums reportedly the ones capturing and spreading the clips.

Often seen shirtless or wearing a light swim jacket paired with colourful trunks, it seems the coach has become the real focus of attention.

The coach at the centre of this viral storm is a teenager surnamed Chen, who recently graduated high school and has been accepted into the Nanjing Sport Institute in Jiangsu Province.

He works part-time as a junior coach at the prestigious Hangzhou Chenjinglun Sports School, which has produced Olympic champions like Sun Yang, Chen Yufei, and Luo Xuejuan.

This summer, the school selected over 800 children from nearly 100 kindergartens in Hangzhou for its swimming talent programme.

Despite the school’s focus on developing elite athletes, much of the online attention has shifted away from the lessons and onto Coach Chen himself.

While Coach Chen has received a wave of support from fans, he has also voiced concerns about his newfound fame.

Through a post, he thanked his online followers but also appealed for privacy.

He revealed that the constant attention was beginning to affect his daily life and hinted that he might deactivate his social media account if the situation continued.
