Several cars were left with flat tyres after hitting a deep pothole along a road near Bukit Jalil late Sunday night, sparking safety concerns and calls for immediate repairs.
A car driver who shared the incident on Xiaohongshu said the mishap occurred at around 10.31pm on December 14, 2025, along the fast lane heading towards Pavilion 2. According to him, the pothole was extremely deep and poorly visible at night, leaving drivers little to no time to react.
At least 6 cars seen stopped by the roadside
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the driver claimed that at least 6 cars were pulled over by the roadside at around 10.30pm, believed to be after suffering flat tyres from the same pothole.
The road condition was really bad. There was a very deep, hidden pothole and I couldn’t avoid it in time,” he wrote, adding that the loud impact was enough to leave him shaken.
A short video shared alongside the post is believed to show the hazardous pothole that caused the damage.
First tyre change under stressful circumstances
The driver said the incident marked his first-ever tyre change, describing it as an unwanted “milestone” achieved under stressful and dangerous conditions.
He also stressed that the presence of multiple cars stopping at the same stretch suggested the pothole posed a serious and immediate danger to road users, especially at night.
