MUAR – Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman recently announced a bizarre #BotakChallenge on his Twitter to raise fund for his “1 Keluarga 1 Laptop” program. He also publicly promised that if he manages to raise RM 200,000 from the public within 5 days, he would “shave his head” for his voters.
Saya mensasarkan kutipan dana sebanyak RM200,000 dlm 5 hari utk program 1 Keluarga 1 Laptop.

Untuk itu, saya akan melaksanakan #BotakChallenge ??? pic.twitter.com/W299GIMjQG
According to Syed Saddiq’s twitter, the purpose of this “1 Keluarga 1 Laptop” fundraising event is to purchase laptops for impoverished or low-income families in his constituency. In his recent tweet, he said that it was easy for him to raise money when he was in the federal government.
Hey guys! Want to share a story.

I will do whatever i can! pic.twitter.com/FSYGE9In3B
However, after he became an opposition member after the Sheraton Move, the new government withdrew the original constituency funding, forcing him to seek public assistance.
“I will do whatever it takes to help the underprivileged in my constituency.” ——Syed Saddiq’s tweet, Dec 26
He also shared screenshots of many netizens’ donation slip on Twitter and said that the amount is not important. He has been very grateful for the assistance of many benevolent Malaysians.
Many netizens also share photoshopped-photo of Syed Saddiq in botak look. Surprisingly, Syed Saddiq himself also retweeted several bald photos made by netizens to encourage more people to support his campaign.
And here’s some other picture of him in “botak” look:

Even the Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh also made fun of him:
When I saw @SyedSaddiq's bald pics, I knew I have seen the face before – my friend, Malaysian actor Colin Kirton. Macam Si Kembar. #BotakChallenge pic.twitter.com/aQ9mI6D4ut
