Travelling to South Korea must be on everyone’s bucket list, but if you’re planning a trip next year, there’s an important update to note.
The country is introducing an e-Arrival card system, replacing the traditional paper arrival form.

Paper arrival cards to be phased out by end of 2025
According to Visit Korea website, starting 24 February 2025, South Korea will implement the e-Arrival card, allowing visitors to submit their entry details online before arrival.
While paper arrival cards can still be used for now, they will be completely phased out after December 2025.
Submit your e-arrival card in advance

Visitors can submit their e-Arrival card up to three days before arriving in South Korea—either on the day of arrival, one day prior, or two days prior, based on Korean Standard Time.
If the visitor does not enter the country within 72 hours after submission, the e-Arrival card will be invalid.
Submission process & key details
The form must be submitted via the e-Arrival card website, which is accessible on both PC and mobile devices.
Upon submission, visitors can download a PDF copy, although it is not required for immigration inspection.
For travellers under 14 years old, a family member or another person must complete the form on their behalf.
The system also allows group submissions, making it easier for families or travel groups.
Plan ahead for a hassle-free entry
With this new rule in place, it’s best to plan ahead and submit your details online before heading to South Korea.
