Whenever we’re issued a traffic summon, we groan and gripe over having to settle it as it would require us lining up and forking out money from our own pockets to pay it off.
However, there’s a piece of good news for those who have yet to settle their summonses as there will be a discount promotion from today until tomorrow (Sept 21)!
M’sians to enjoy 50% discount on traffic summonses from Sept 20 to 21
In a Facebook announcement made by Selangor police, it wrote that Malaysians can enjoy a 50% discount on existing traffic summonses.

The promotion will run from 9am until 4pm at Wynhams Hotels in Klang starting today until Saturday.
However, it must be noted that the discount is not applicable to the following traffic offenses:
- Road accidents
- Court-related offenses
- Violations involving heavy vehicles
- Dangerous overtaking
- Usage of emergency lanes
- Non-compoundable offences (NC)
- Not obeying traffic signals
- Overtaking on double lines
- Exhaust modification
So if you’re looking to settle your traffic summons, do take note of the terms and conditions before you head over to the location to do so!
