One commenter humorously remarked that there is no need to go back to the hometown during the long weekend.

“Hahaha… no need to go back during school holidays or festive seasons! Just go back when the roads are clear! During havoc like this, better stay at home, turn on the aircon, buy popcorn, and enjoy Netflix, much more relaxing!”

According to Kosmo!, traffic flow at Gombak Toll Plaza has been reported to be moving slowly in the eastbound direction due to rainy weather since the morning.

However, the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) has confirmed that traffic is smooth in both directions along the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway after passing Gombak Toll Plaza.

Further north, on the PLUS North-South Highway, heavy traffic was reported from Slim River to Sungkai, with vehicles moving slowly due to the rain.
