Some friendships go beyond words—they’re about action, compassion, and making each other’s dreams come true.
For Haikal, a young man without legs, the dream was simple: he wanted to feel what it was like to go jogging.
Even though he couldn’t run on his own, he shared his wish with his friends, and they immediately knew they wanted to make it happen.
In a heartfelt TikTok video by Marvel Shinbe, we see Haikal’s friends rally around him to bring his dream to life.
The clip shows them at a park, pushing Haikal in a wheelchair as they jog alongside him, matching his pace and lifting his spirits.
“I don’t have legs, but I want to feel the jogging vibe,” Haikal had said. To his friends, that was all they needed to hear.
‘Haikal kept saying ‘sorry for troubling you guys,’ but honestly, we didn’t mind at all‘
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Haikal’s close friend Adib, who goes by the nickname “Shinbe,” shared insights into that memorable day.
“When we were jogging, Haikal kept saying ‘sorry for troubling you guys,’ but honestly, we didn’t mind at all. We’re used to bringing him along whenever we go out.”
Adib explained that they had initially planned a hiking trip to Bukit Gasing, but had to turn back when Haikal’s prosthetic leg was left behind.
“We had barely started climbing when Haikal’s leg began hurting. So, since we were already in the area, he asked if we could go jogging instead. That’s how we ended up jogging and pushing him together.”
These friends have shared a deep bond for nearly a decade.
“As of 2024, we’ve been friends for almost 10 years,” Adib said.
“We met back in 2014, in our first year of secondary school, when we used to cycle to school together. In 2016, Haikal transferred to a vocational college, but we stayed in touch and still hung out whenever we were free.”
Their friendship took on even deeper significance in 2018 when Haikal was involved in an accident that led to the loss of one of his legs.
Despite this life-changing event, the group remained close.
“To this day, we always bring him along when we go out, whether it’s for a hangout or anything else,” Adib added.
