MRT rides are usually uneventful, you hop on, scroll through your phone, and get off.
But for a group of Malaysian commuters, their journey got a surprise twist when an unexpected passenger made an entrance.
In a TikTok video uploaded by user @softdhiya, a dog was spotted casually chilling inside an MRT coach. Yes, you read that right — a whole dog.

Confused but chill
The video shows the dog looking a bit lost but surprisingly calm, as if it somehow knew this was not its stop.
While some passengers were visibly unsure of what to do — especially Muslim riders who were careful not to make contact — there was no chaos or panic.
Instead, most people just gave it space and watched quietly.
One commuter stepped up
What really stood out was a woman who calmly approached the dog and gave it some reassuring pats.
She later helped guide the dog out of the train when it stopped, with MRT staff already waiting at the platform to assist.
In true doggo fashion, the pup almost tried to reboard (classic), but was gently ushered away for its safety.

The wholesome moment quickly went viral, racking up nearly 1.5 million views at the time of writing. Many praised the mature response of Muslim passengers who kept their cool and didn’t overreact, despite religious sensitivities around dogs.
Others thanked the woman who stepped in to help, calling her gesture kind and thoughtful.
Interestingly, the doggo even made waves on XiaoHongShu, with users there sharing the clip widely.
Some netizens later shared that the dog had been found and safely returned to its original location by a kind couple.
