Malaysians often have this habit of saying “sekejap je” when running a quick errand.
Most of the time, we get away with it. But for one woman, that small decision ended up costing her more than expected.
In a TikTok video posted by @husnaiberahimm, she shared how her wallet was stolen during a brief stop at a convenience store. To make things worse, it was all caught on CCTV.

She explained that she had left her car unlocked, thinking she’d only be in the shop for a few minutes. But what seemed like a harmless move turned into an opportunity for a thief.
The footage showed a man casually walking up to her car, opening the door without hesitation, and grabbing her wallet before walking off as if nothing happened. It all happened in a matter of seconds.

Despite the frustration, she still managed to inject some humour into the situation. In her video caption, she wrote, “Next time you want to steal, at least pick a Honda or something. You went for my old Myvi instead.”
But beyond the joke, she also admitted the incident was a wake-up call.
Since then, she has made it a habit to lock her car the moment she steps out and avoids leaving anything in plain sight, even if she’s only going to be gone for a short while.
In the comments, many said they had gone through similar situations or near-misses, proving just how common this kind of thing really is.
Some users also took the chance to remind others, especially women, to always double-check that their doors are locked, even during quick errands
Others were simply upset that there are still people who would take advantage of moments like these, even when it’s just to steal a wallet with a bit of cash inside.
