What was meant to be a touching birthday surprise turned into an unexpectedly funny moment when a gift from Malaysian influencer and entrepreneur Boss Mario didn’t go as planned.
Rooftop celebration turns emotional
In a video posted on TikTok, a woman known as Kak Linda was seen getting emotional after Boss Mario and her children surprised her with a birthday dinner at a rooftop restaurant.
The single mother teared up as a restaurant staff member brought out a birthday cake while the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to her.
Balloon full of cash flies away
Aside from the cake, Boss Mario also gifted Kak Linda a decorative balloon arrangement with cash attached as a special surprise.
However, as soon as Kak Linda opened the gift box, one of the helium balloons—tied with several RM notes—suddenly floated into the sky.
However, no one managed to catch the string in time as they were too busy admiring it.
In the end, only RM20 was left inside the box, while the rest soared away. Kak Linda simply waved at the sky and jokingly said “bye-bye” to the flying money, taking the moment in stride.
Netizens amused by her reaction
In the comment section of a shorter video of the incident, many netizens found the situation hilarious and joked that they hoped the cash would land in front of their houses or had found the balloon.

Others took the opportunity to wish Kak Linda a happy birthday and sent well wishes to her and her two children too.
