A Malaysian woman has taken to Threads to vent her frustrations about her marriage, saying she is considering asking for a divorce after years of dealing with her husband’s gaming habits and lack of responsibility at home.
In her post, she shared that her husband spends most of his time playing games on his phone.
She claimed that after working 12 hour shifts, he would return home and immediately scroll TikTok or play mobile games, sometimes not even showering before continuing until he falls asleep.
She added that this routine happens daily, including on rest days.
While she handles house chores and cares for their child, she said her husband remains glued to his phone and pretends not to hear when their child cries.
According to her, whenever she confronts him or gets upset, he accuses her of having a bad temper.
She admitted that she now constantly scolds him because she can no longer tolerate his behaviour.
In a follow up comment, she revealed that this has been going on for three years.
She said she feels exhausted and foolish for repeatedly getting angry while seeing no change in his actions.
She also shared that during a recent argument, she told him she wanted to return to her hometown because she could no longer endure living with him.
She claimed his response was simply, “Do whatever you want.”
The woman added that she is now seriously considering divorce, saying throughout their marriage, he has provided little care or support for her and their child.
She also revealed that she is currently unemployed and their child is just over one year old, while her hometown is far away.
She ended by saying she feels heartbroken for her child, especially when conflicts arise between her and her husband.
