Whenever we park our cars at proper parking spaces, the last thing we’d expect is to see it getting clamped or surrounded by objects that would make it difficult for the car to be moved.
This was exactly what one woman in Johor Bahru (JB) experienced when she saw her car essentially getting locked in by tables and chairs being set up by a mamak stall despite parking at a proper parking space.

In a brief 6-second TikTok video shared by @r4dicalthoughts, it showed a sea of customers dining at a mamak stall in JB.
There, in the midst of the crowd, was her car, which was completely surrounded by tables and chairs, making it impossible for her to move it elsewhere.
In the caption, she wrote that she saw several cars parked next to hers earlier, adding that they must have left when she arrived.
She also expressed helplessness over the situation, with her writing in the in-text caption: “How am I going to going to move my car out like this?”
Netizens offer several “solutions”
The clip, which has since garnered 700,000 views at the time of writing, saw netizens chiming in with a slew of amusing suggestions on how the OP could move her car out.
‘What’s so difficult. Get into the car. Close your eyes. Change to gear ‘D’. Drive forward. If there’s any sounds made by the tables or people shouting, just ignore it.’
‘It’s okay. Just order (from the mamak) once and eat it inside your car.’
One joked that the mamak stall owner was holding a lucky draw contest, with the OP’s car being the grand prize.
Another suggested that the OP lodge a report with the authorities, but the OP said she didn’t do so as she was more shocked than annoyed by the situation.
“I even felt like I was in the wrong for blocking (the space), but what I felt the most was embarrassment. They kept the tables after (the diners) completed their meals, so it’s okay. I waited,” she wrote.
