Petty.
Chap fan, also known as economy rice, is a popular meal option among Malaysians thanks to its wide range of dishes to choose from and reasonable prices.

Shockingly, this seemingly humble meal was what caused a woman to get scolded by her boyfriend, who felt that she was wasting money that could have been saved up for their future wedding.

As soon as her boyfriend saw the price of her meal, he immediately became extremely upset and proceeded to berate her.

He told me, ‘Why can’t you take cheaper dishes? Don’t you know we need to save money for our wedding?’

“I was so shocked at the moment cause he made it sound as though I was eating at a high-class buffet. He even continued to nag me, saying that I didn’t know how to be a good girlfriend or pick cheaper dishes.
