A routine evening turned into a nightmare for a young woman and her companion recently, when they returned to their car at a shopping mall parking lot only to find it splattered with sewage water.
The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, has sparked both amusement and sympathy from netizens.

The video, initially posted on TikTok and later reshared by @ricxxxkiddo on X, shows a white car, believed to be a Volkswagen Beetle, marred by what appears to be sewage water, which resulted from a leaky pipe above their parking spot.
In the footage, the girl lightheartedly narrates the unfortunate turn of events, mentioning how they had initially noticed an unpleasant smell in the car park without realising its source until they found their vehicle.
“We were asking why the car park smelt like shit, but didn’t know it was the toilet pipe above our car that broke,” she remarked in the video.
The affected parking area didn’t escape unscathed either, as sewage water pooled on the floor, compounding the inconvenience for other visitors and highlighting the need for prompt maintenance.
Towards the end of the video, the girl humorously demanded compensation from the shopping centre, quipping,
“TRX Exchange, we demand a year of free car wash and parking.”
Following the incident, The Exchange TRX responded promptly by relocating affected cars, cordoning off the area, and offering complimentary car wash services to affected shoppers.
“We were alerted to a burst food waste pipe in the car park and quickly notified the shoppers, promptly relocating their cars. The affected area has been cordoned off, and repair work is currently in progress.
Affected cars have undergone cleaning and sanitisation after the incident, with additional deep cleaning provided. To further assist, complimentary car wash services have been offered to the shoppers.”

Her comment, though in jest, resonated with viewers who shared similar sentiments online.
Among the comments left by netizens, many expressed sympathy for the affected individuals and called for the shopping mall management to take responsibility for the incident.
One commenter humorously lamented the unexpected transformation of an expensive car into an unwelcome receptacle for sewage.
One person wrote, “Oh dear, now a fancy car smells like poop.”
Another person commented, “If I were them, I’d just take a Grab back, get the management to handle the carwash, and then come back for my car.”
